History of swimming costumes

Although there are a lot of games which are played all over the world such as cricket, badminton, baseball, hockey, football, volleyball, tennis ball, cycling, and also racing games etc. These games are played in a large scale. But swimming is also a popular game all over the world. People like to swim and it is very famous hobby among peoples over globe. Now we are talking about the history of swimming costumes which are played an important part for swimming games.
History:
In the 18th century, sea bathing are very fashionable and today the trend and popularity of swimming and bathing is stable. People of 18th century considered that sea bathing or swimming protects their skin from sunny raises and keeps their skin white and glory. Ladies of 18th century wear gowns to prevent the garment from floating up and for showing their glory skin.
In early revolution of swimwear, women like to go beaches and sea sides at the time of 1800. This was the time of the beginning of revolution in swimwear.
Mid 19th century:
In the mid 19th century, swimming costumes are made from heavy flannel fabric which swimmer wear and these fabrics weigh down the swimmer in the ocean or sea. Women’s of mid 19th century wear swimming costumes and these costumes covered most of female figure.
In 1890’s:
In 1890’s, women typically wear black costumes, wool dresses, knee length, puffed sleeves, and drawers trimmed with bows and ribbons. In 1890’s, the swimming costumes was accessorized with long stockings, fancy swimming slippers designed by fancy laces, and caps.
In early 1800s and 1900s, swimming costumes was made up by hard fabrics which is called flannel fabrics and are accessorized with long black stockings, swimming slippers and fancy caps. The swimming shoes or slippers are necessary to wear on beaches and sea side because these slippers protect from broken glass, oyster shells, pebbles that can cut or injured the foot. These slippers are especially available on beaches.

In 1910s:

Swimming World

Swimming is an activity which is not only healthy but also low cost sport. It will only cost you the registration charges while on the other hand, other sports like climbing or jogging will require you to buy some expensive and good quality of shoes. Swimming needs swimwear, goggles and swim cap but they are given by the swimming association and their charges come under the registration. The most effective way to get relaxation is through swimming. It also helps you to take exercise, keeping body in good shape.
The things which a swimmers needs during swimming are described below:-
Swim Suit: Swim suit is the costume which a swimmer needs to wear so that his body is covered for modesty.
Swim Cap: The swim cap helps the swimmer to cover his hair and are protected from getting wet. Moreover, it also helps the swimmer to decrease drag. They are usually made up of Silicon, Lycra, etc.
Swim Fins: Swim fins are used in the races to drag faster. It helps to kick fast so that the swimmer might also win the game easily.
Drag Suit: Resistance can be increased by the drag suit.
Goggles: Goggles help the swimmers to increase the vision and protects the eyes from the water of the pool. The eye sight goggles are specially made for the swimmers whose eye sights are little weak.
Paddles: The swimmers use rubber paddles so that the arm and shoulder are strengthen and pulling technique is enhanced eventually.
Kickboard: Kickboard is a board which helps the swimmer to support the weight of his body. It helps the swimmer to build the muscle of the legs for kicking fats.
Pull buoy: Pull buoy and hand paddles are used for the same purpose but they also support the legs. They are foams attached to the legs of the swimmers allowing them to prevent from kicking wrong.

Swimming is an amazing exercise making you feel free in the water from all the directions. It allows you to swim against other members making you competitive and motivating at the same time. Therefore, it’s the best way to remain fit and strengthens the body.
